Q-SYS Zoom Rooms Certification: What London Meeting Rooms Gain

QSC press image of Q-SYS Zoom Rooms hardware: VSA-100 AI accelerator, RMP-100 processor and QIO-VEN4 expander with an NC Series camera, beside a Zoom Certified badge

On 8 September 2026, QSC announced that the Q-SYS RoomSuite Modular System, the NC-90-G2 network camera and the Q-SYS VisionSuite VSA-100 AI Accelerator are now certified ProAV devices for Zoom Rooms. For London organisations planning medium or large meeting spaces, it widens the range of Q-SYS Zoom Rooms hardware that has passed Zoom certification, from the room processor to the camera and the AI framing unit.

  • QSC announced on 8 September 2026 that three Q-SYS products are now certified ProAV devices for Zoom Rooms.
  • The three products are the Q-SYS RoomSuite Modular System, the NC-90-G2 network camera and the Q-SYS VisionSuite VSA-100 AI Accelerator.
  • QSC says the RoomSuite Modular System, built on the RMP-100 processor and QIO-VEN4 expander, is aimed at medium to large collaboration spaces.
  • The NC-90-G2 joins the NC Series cameras already certified for Zoom Rooms, with Active Speaker Framing and auto framing, according to QSC.
  • The source is QSC's own press release, issued from Costa Mesa, California; AV Interactive also carried the news on 10 September 2026.

What QSC announced on 8 September 2026

QSC, the company behind the Q-SYS audio, video and control platform, published a press release on 8 September 2026 headed "Q-SYS RoomSuite Modular System, NC-90-G2 and Q-SYS VisionSuite VSA-100 Now Certified ProAV Devices for Zoom Rooms". You can read it in full on the Q-SYS news page. AV Interactive, the website of AV Magazine, reported it on 10 September 2026 under the headline "QSC earns Zoom Rooms certifications for three more devices".

Each of the three devices does a different job in a room. QSC describes the news as extending its existing portfolio of Q-SYS solutions certified for Zoom Rooms across the workplace, so these devices join earlier certified Q-SYS products rather than starting a new line.

Zoom explains on its own Zoom Certified hardware page that certified hardware has been through independent third party testing and review, with quality and performance testing against consistent Zoom specifications. Neither QSC nor Zoom sets out, in the pages we read, a separate definition of the "ProAV" label beyond that, so we will not add one.

The three Q-SYS Zoom Rooms devices at a glance

Device What it is What QSC says it brings
Q-SYS RoomSuite Modular System An RMP-100 processor with a QIO-VEN4 expander A consolidated processor, switch, AV bridge and video switch for medium to large rooms, set up through a web based workflow
NC-90-G2 A network ePTZ camera with a fixed lens Automatic framing of whoever is speaking, aimed at smaller, wider rooms
Q-SYS VisionSuite VSA-100 An AI accelerator for Q-SYS camera systems AI driven room automation and dynamic, autonomous camera framing, including speaker and presenter tracking

RoomSuite in more detail. QSC lists the Zoom certified peripherals it pairs with: its own NC Series cameras, NL Series speakers and NM-T1 table microphones, as well as partner ceiling mics certified for Zoom Rooms. Monitoring runs through Q-SYS Reflect in the cloud, next to Zoom Device Manager.

VSA-100 in more detail. Its product page names three features: Speaker Spotlight, Presenter Spotlight and Conductor camera technology. A single unit handles a maximum of 14 Speaker Spotlight cameras plus a single Presenter Spotlight camera and a single audience facing Conductor camera; the NC-90-G2 is listed for the Conductor role only.

Who this affects in London

The announcement matters most to organisations that have already chosen Zoom as their meeting platform and want something beyond an all in one video bar. QSC positions RoomSuite for medium and large spaces, so the obvious readers are facilities and IT teams responsible for boardrooms, larger meeting rooms, training suites and multipurpose rooms in London offices.

It also matters to buildings already running Q-SYS for audio or control, which may be able to extend that platform into their Zoom spaces rather than adding a second ecosystem.

If you run Zoom and Microsoft Teams side by side, QSC's product pages show Teams certification on both the NC-90-G2 and the VSA-100. If you are weighing platforms, our page on Teams Room installation in London covers the Microsoft side.

What to plan before specifying Q-SYS for Zoom Rooms

Size the room first. QSC describes the NC-90-G2 as suited to smaller, wider collaboration spaces, while RoomSuite is aimed at medium to large rooms. Matching the camera to the room shape, not just the headcount, avoids paying for framing features that the seating layout cannot use.

Decide on microphones early. QSC lists NM-T1 tabletop microphones and certified partner ceiling microphones as options. Tabletop and ceiling microphones lead to very different ceiling, cable and furniture work, so this choice belongs at the design stage. Our audio conferencing page covers room audio in general.

Plan the network. The NC-90-G2 is powered over the network, QSC says, using one cable. That means the switch, power budget and cable routes need agreeing with your IT team before anything is fixed to a wall.

Think about management. QSC points to Q-SYS Reflect for remote monitoring next to Zoom Device Manager. If you have several rooms across a London floor or building, settle who watches those dashboards and how faults are handled; our maintenance and support service is one route.

Check what is not stated. QSC's release gives no availability dates or pricing, so check stock and lead times when you order.

How it fits a London office floor

A London office floor may combine small huddle rooms with a few larger spaces used for client meetings, all hands sessions and training. A certified video bar often suits the small rooms. The larger rooms are where a modular system such as RoomSuite, with separate loudspeakers, microphones and cameras, gives more room to place each device where the acoustics and sight lines need it.

In a training room or presentation space, the VSA-100's presenter tracking and automatic camera switching, as QSC describes them, address a familiar problem: remote attendees seeing a static wide shot while the speaker walks across the front of the room. In a long boardroom, the combination of several NC Series cameras with Speaker Spotlight is the scenario QSC's product page outlines.

In most projects the steps run in this order: survey, design, agree the network and power plan, install, then commission and hand over. Our process page sets out how 1Install designs, supplies and installs meeting rooms, Teams Rooms and video conferencing systems, and our video conferencing page covers platform choices in more depth. QSC's Josh Arnold summed up the aim as giving customers "more options to design Zoom Spaces with confidence". For a London organisation, the practical takeaway is that a full Q-SYS room, from processor to camera to AI framing, can now be specified for Zoom Rooms using hardware that QSC says is certified.

Questions we are often asked

Does the Q-SYS NC-90-G2 work with Zoom Rooms?

Yes. In its release dated 8 September 2026, QSC confirmed the camera had gained ProAV certification for Zoom Rooms, joining other NC Series cameras already certified.

What is the Q-SYS RoomSuite Modular System?

It is a Q-SYS room system built on the RMP-100 processor and the QIO-VEN4 expander, which QSC says combines processing, switching, AV bridging and video switching for medium to large collaboration spaces.

What does the VSA-100 do in a Zoom Room?

It adds AI driven room automation and autonomous camera framing, according to QSC, including speaker tracking across up to 14 cameras and full body presenter tracking with one dedicated camera.

Is the VSA-100 only for Zoom?

No. QSC's product page also shows badges for Microsoft Teams certification and Works with Google Meet, alongside Zoom certification.

How much does a Q-SYS Zoom Rooms system cost?

It depends on the room. QSC's release gives no pricing, and the cost of any system turns on room size, microphones, cameras and network work, so a survey and design come first.
