Biamp's September 2026 updates do three things: new Parlé firmware lets its conferencing bars work with the Biamp Devio UCX 1000, the Android based hub that runs Microsoft Teams Rooms; four BMA 360D bundles package a ceiling microphone, processor and speakers for medium and large rooms; and the Devio SCR-10 and Modena Hub have been discontinued. If you are planning a Teams room, or you own one of the retired products, each one changes what you should order.
What Biamp announced in September 2026
Biamp posts product notices on its latest news page, where they are easy to miss. Three changes from September 2026 matter to anyone who specifies or owns a Biamp meeting room:
- Parlé firmware 1.10.0 for the Parlé ABC 2500, ABC 2500a, VBC 2500, VBC 2500a and VBC 2800 bars. Biamp's notice lists one new feature: support for the Devio UCX 1000 meeting room hub.
- BMA 360D meeting room bundles, four packages built around Biamp's ceiling microphone array.
- A discontinuation notice for the Devio SCR-10, the Modena Hub and the Modena Hub+, which gives 24 September 2026 as the date of discontinuation.
One more September notice, Tesira firmware 5.7.1, is a maintenance release with what Biamp calls critical fixes for Voltera D and D M amplifiers, Tesira and TesiraLux products.
Biamp Devio UCX and the Parlé bars: a Teams room without a PC
Devio UCX is the platform Biamp announced in June 2026. Its product page describes an Android based meeting room hub that runs Microsoft Teams Rooms, with Biamp's audio processing built into the same unit, so there is no separate room PC. Biamp says it is certified to run Teams Rooms, is developed on MDEP (the Microsoft Device Ecosystem Platform, which is built on Android) and can be monitored and managed in the Microsoft Teams Pro Management Portal and in Biamp Workplace.
There are three tiers:
| Model | Biamp's description |
|---|---|
| Devio UCX 1000 | Huddle spaces and small conference rooms, paired with a Biamp video bar and the Apprimo Touch 10 UCX controller |
| Devio UCX 2000 | Medium and large rooms, with up to four distributed microphones and eight ceiling speakers, and an HDMI input for sharing content from older devices |
| Devio UCX 3000 | Four times the processing power of the UCX 2000, with support for dual and ultrawide 5K displays |
Version 1.10.0 of the Parlé firmware is the release that adds support for the hub, so a Parlé bar going into a UCX 1000 room should be on that version or later. Biamp's support page for Devio UCX names the Parlé VBC 2500a and VBC 2800 as the video bars to pair with the UCX 1000, so check which bar you have before assuming it qualifies.
Two other points from Biamp's page. A laptop connected by USB-C to the touch controller switches the room to BYOM, bring your own meeting, for a call on another platform. And a feature called Biamp Launch discovers the connected Biamp devices and measures the room's acoustics to tune the audio at setup.
Biamp's page gives no prices or shipping dates. Its June launch release also named Zoom Rooms, while the product page speaks only of Teams, so if you need a Zoom room, ask what is certified today.
The BMA 360D bundles for medium and large rooms
A video bar works when everyone sits within a few metres of the screen. In a longer room the microphones need to be closer to the people speaking, on the table or above it. Above it is the job of the BMA 360D, Biamp's ceiling tile microphone array. Biamp announced in June 2026 that the BMA 360D is certified for Microsoft Teams, with a separate announcement covering Zoom Rooms.
The new bundles pair it with a TesiraFORTÉ X processor and Desono ceiling loudspeakers:
| Room | Processor | Microphone | Loudspeakers |
|---|---|---|---|
| Medium | TesiraFORTÉ X 800 | BMA 360D (24 inch) or BMA 360D-I (600 mm) | Two Desono C-IC6 |
| Large | TesiraFORTÉ X 1600 | BMA 360D (24 inch) or BMA 360D-I (600 mm) | Four Desono C-IC6 |
Each bundle also includes an EasyConnect POE-90W injector and a plenum rated Cat5e cable kit. For a ceiling built on a 600 mm grid, the BMA 360D-I is the version to ask for.
Two cautions. Biamp describes the bundles as an audio solution, so the room still needs its Teams Rooms computer, camera and display. And the notice itself does not mention certification. Biamp's June release describes the BMA 360D, with TesiraFORTÉ X processors and Desono C-IC6 loudspeakers, as a Zoom certified audio system, and the microphone as certified for Microsoft Teams, so if a certified room matters to you, confirm the exact combination against the current certified lists before ordering.
Devio SCR-10 and Modena Hub: what owners should do
Biamp's discontinuation notice sets out the dates:
| Product | Discontinued | Last day to order | Biamp's recommended alternative |
|---|---|---|---|
| Devio SCR-10 | 24 September 2026 | 30 September 2026 | Devio SCR-20, Devio SCR-25 or EasyConnect MPX 250 |
| Modena Hub and Modena Hub+ | 24 September 2026 | 28 December 2026 | MAX Connect |
The SCR-10 is a conferencing hub for huddle rooms and small conference rooms: a laptop connects with one USB cable and gets the room's display and USB devices. The Modena Hub is a wireless presentation hub. Neither stops working. Biamp says it will continue to provide technical support and to honour warranty commitments for the warranty period that began when the product was first bought.
So our advice is calm:
- If your rooms work, leave them, and keep a note of when each unit was bought, because the warranty commitment runs from the original purchase. Discontinued means a product is leaving the price list, not that it stops working.
- If you planned to add more SCR-10 rooms, Biamp set 30 September 2026 as the last day to order. New rooms should be designed around the alternatives. Biamp's data sheets show the Devio SCR-20 with a built in 20 W amplifier and a Beamtracking microphone, and the SCR-25 adding Bluetooth. The EasyConnect MPX 250 is a connectivity hub with four USB-C laptop inputs.
- If you rely on Modena Hubs, the last day to order more is 28 December 2026. After that, Biamp points to MAX Connect, its bring your own meeting room system.
How this fits a London office
For a new small room, a Parlé video bar with a Devio UCX 1000 and its touch controller covers everything in a Teams room except the display, from one manufacturer. For a boardroom, the choice is between a Devio UCX 2000 or 3000 with separate microphones and ceiling speakers, and a Tesira based design using one of the BMA 360D bundles. Which is right depends on the table length, the ceiling and how the room is used, and that is a question for a survey, not a catalogue.
We design and install audio conferencing and Microsoft Teams Rooms in London, from a single meeting room to a full floor. For a budget figure first, try the meeting room quote builder, and our maintenance and support service keeps rooms working after handover.
Questions we are often asked
What is Biamp Devio UCX?
Biamp Devio UCX is an Android based meeting room hub that runs Microsoft Teams Rooms, with Biamp's audio processing built in. Its three tiers, the UCX 1000, 2000 and 3000, run from huddle rooms to large rooms with dual displays.
Which Parlé bars work with the Devio UCX 1000?
Parlé firmware 1.10.0, which adds Devio UCX 1000 support, is released for the ABC 2500, ABC 2500a, VBC 2500, VBC 2500a and VBC 2800. Biamp's Devio UCX support page names the VBC 2500a and VBC 2800 video bars for the UCX 1000, so confirm your model before ordering.
What is in a BMA 360D bundle?
A TesiraFORTÉ X 800 or X 1600 processor, a BMA 360D or BMA 360D-I ceiling microphone array, Desono C-IC6 ceiling loudspeakers (two for a medium room, four for a large one), an EasyConnect POE-90W injector and a Cat5e cable kit.
Our office has Devio SCR-10 hubs. Do we need to replace them?
No. Biamp says it will keep providing technical support and honouring warranty commitments during the warranty period that began at purchase. The notice itself only sets last order dates, and gives 30 September 2026 as the last day to order the SCR-10.
