Q-SYS Teams Rooms Certification Widens: Three Ways to Build a London Meeting Room

Q-SYS Teams Rooms hardware from QSC: RoomSuite Collaboration Bar and touch panel, RMP-100 processor, QIO-VEN4 expander and NC Series camera beside a Certified for Microsoft Teams logo

On 21 October 2026 QSC announced that three more Q-SYS Teams Rooms products are certified for Microsoft Teams: the Q-SYS RoomSuite Modular System, the NC-90-G2 network camera and the Windows based Q-SYS RoomSuite Collaboration Bar. For London offices it means one audio, video and control brand now offers a certified all in one bar, a certified modular kit and its established Core based room systems, so a business can match each room to the right build without changing platform.

  • QSC announced the new Microsoft Teams certifications in a release dated 21 October 2026, from Costa Mesa, California.
  • The certified products are the Q-SYS RoomSuite Modular System, the NC-90-G2 network camera and the Q-SYS RoomSuite Collaboration Bar.
  • The Collaboration Bar runs Teams Rooms on Windows, and QSC says it is shipping in more than fifty countries.
  • With the NC-90-G2 camera, QSC says the modular system enables Active Speaker Framing in Teams Rooms.
  • At the time of writing, Microsoft's Teams Rooms certified hardware list shows the Collaboration Bar as a Windows console with a Core i5 processor, 16 GB of memory and 256 GB of storage.

What QSC announced for Q-SYS Teams Rooms

QSC's press release of 21 October 2026 says the Q-SYS portfolio of Microsoft Teams certified products has grown to cover medium and large meeting spaces, high impact rooms and the spaces in between. Three products are named as newly certified.

The RoomSuite Collaboration Bar is an all in one video bar with a Windows computer built in. It runs Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows, and QSC says it is already shipping in more than fifty countries across North America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia Pacific and Latin America, with more to follow.

The RoomSuite Modular System is a packaged kit for larger rooms, built around the RMP-100 room processor. QSC says the certification covers it together with Q-SYS NL Series loudspeakers, the NM-T1 tabletop microphone (or another Teams certified partner Dante ceiling microphone) and the NC-12x80, NC-20x60 and NC-90-G2 cameras.

The NC-90-G2 is a fixed lens network camera. Paired with the modular system, QSC says it switches on Active Speaker Framing in Teams Rooms, so the far end sees whoever is talking rather than a wide shot of the whole table.

QSC's marketing vice president, Patrick Heyn, said in the release that businesses want the freedom to pick the right collaboration setup for each space, and named three ways to do it with Q-SYS: a Core based room system, a modular system and an all in one Windows bar. That is the most useful way to read the news, so the rest of this post takes each route in turn.

Three ways to build a Q-SYS room, side by side

Route What it is Where it fits best
RoomSuite Collaboration Bar One bar with cameras, microphones, speakers and a Windows 11 computer, plus a 10.95 inch touch controller and optional table microphones Standard meeting rooms where a fast, tidy install matters most
RoomSuite Modular System RMP-100 processor, QIO-VEN4 expander, choice of NC cameras, NL speakers and microphones, set up in a web tool Medium to large rooms that need ceiling audio, more than one camera or two screens
Core based Q-SYS system A Q-SYS Core processor designed and programmed for the room Boardrooms, divisible rooms and spaces that need custom control

The first two rows draw on QSC's product pages, and the Core row and the last column are our own summary; the right answer for a given room still depends on its size, shape and acoustics.

The Collaboration Bar in more detail

QSC's Collaboration Bar product page lists the model as the RS-CB-MTRW. Inside are four 50 megapixel camera sensors (two wide and two telephoto) with 8x hybrid zoom and a privacy shutter, a 16 element microphone array with a stated pickup of up to 10 metres, and stereo speakers. The built in computer runs Windows 11 IoT Enterprise on an Intel Core i5 with 16 GB of memory. The RS-CB-CTL11 touch controller is powered over the network, and up to four RS-CB-TM table microphones can be daisy chained for longer tables.

QSC says the bar is set up in minutes without Q-SYS Designer software and is registered to Q-SYS Reflect, its cloud monitoring service, by scanning a QR code. Some features on the page, such as remote and far end functions and bring your own meeting on the controller's second port, are marked as coming soon.

Who should take notice in London

Businesses already running Q-SYS. If your larger rooms use a Q-SYS Core, the certified bar and modular kit let smaller rooms join the same estate. QSC says all of it connects through Q-SYS Reflect, which gives one place to watch device health across floors or sites.

Firms standardising on Teams Rooms on Windows. A product on Microsoft's certified list is usually the first thing an IT team asks for, and the bar now appears there as a Windows console.

Anyone planning a refurbishment. A London fit out often mixes small huddle rooms, mid sized meeting rooms and one or two showpiece spaces. Having certified options at each size from one maker makes the user experience consistent, which is the point Heyn made.

What to do next

  1. List your rooms by size and use. Note seating, screen count and whether ceiling microphones are wanted.
  2. Check the network. The bar powers its controller and table microphones from its own ports, and the RMP-100 in the modular kit has its own PoE ports for room devices, but both still need a network link, so plan switch ports, cabling and VLANs early.
  3. Confirm Teams Rooms licensing for every room you add.
  4. Decide on management. Work out who will watch Q-SYS Reflect, and whether you need the bulk preset and firmware tools QSC describes for Reflect Plus.
  5. Re-check Microsoft's list on the day you order, because it changes over time.

Questions we are often asked

Is the Q-SYS RoomSuite Collaboration Bar certified for Microsoft Teams Rooms?

Yes. QSC announced the certification on 21 October 2026, and at the time of writing Microsoft's certified hardware list shows the bar as a Teams Rooms on Windows console.

Does the Q-SYS Collaboration Bar run Windows or Android?

Windows. QSC's product page lists Windows 11 IoT Enterprise on an Intel Core i5 with 16 GB of memory and 256 GB of storage.

What does the RoomSuite Modular System certification cover?

The RMP-100 based kit with Q-SYS NL Series speakers, the NM-T1 table microphone or a Teams certified partner Dante ceiling microphone, and the NC-12x80, NC-20x60 or NC-90-G2 camera, according to QSC.

Can a Q-SYS camera follow whoever is speaking in Teams?

Yes, with the right combination. QSC says the modular system with the NC-90-G2 enables Active Speaker Framing in Teams Rooms, and the Collaboration Bar lists Active Speaker Framing among its features.

Do I need a Q-SYS Core for a Teams Room?

Not necessarily. QSC presents the Collaboration Bar and the RoomSuite Modular System as alternatives to a Core based room system: the bar sets up without Q-SYS Designer software and the modular kit uses its own RMP-100 processor. A Core based system is still the route for rooms that need custom design and control.
