Biamp Devio UCX 1000 Now Shipping and Teams Certified: What London Meeting Rooms Gain

On 7 October 2026 Biamp said its Biamp Devio UCX 1000 conferencing bundle, which pairs the Devio UCX 1000 compute with a Parlé VBC 2800 video bar and an Apprimo Touch 10 UCX-T panel, is shipping and is Certified for Microsoft Teams. For a London office planning new huddle or small meeting rooms, that turns Biamp's June announcement into a Teams Rooms on Android kit that can actually be ordered and specified.

We first wrote about the range when Biamp brought Parlé bar support to the hub in September; that post, Biamp Devio UCX reaches the Parlé bars, covers the three hub sizes. This one is about the moment the smallest of them became a certified, shipping product.

What Biamp announced for the Devio UCX 1000

The announcement came from Biamp's base in Beaverton, Oregon, in a press release dated 7 October 2026. Biamp says the bundle ships from that day through its global network of authorised resellers and integrators.

The parts, as Biamp describes them.

Part What it does
Devio UCX 1000 The UC compute. Biamp calls it a Microsoft Teams Room on Android built on Microsoft's Device Ecosystem Platform (MDEP), with professional audio processing inside, managed through Microsoft Intune.
Parlé VBC 2800 The video bar: two 4K ePTZ cameras with AI auto framing, 16x digital zoom, a 120 degree horizontal field of view, and a 27 microphone array using Biamp's Beamtracking, with echo cancellation and AI noise reduction. One USB-C cable links it to the compute.
Apprimo Touch 10 UCX-T The table panel. Biamp says it pairs itself when connected, wakes the room when someone walks in, and swaps between a Teams meeting and a laptop over USB-C, all on a single cable with no extra network points.

Biamp lists the part numbers on its October latest news page. The core pairing of compute and panel is UCC-UCX100-T. Two room kits add a bar: MRB-UCX1000T-VBC2500a with the VBC 2500a, and MRB-UCX1000T-VBC2800 with the VBC 2800. On that page only the VBC 2800 kit carries the line "Now Microsoft Teams Certified", which matches the press release.

What Microsoft's list shows

Microsoft keeps a certified hardware list for Teams Rooms on Android, and at the time of writing it has two Biamp rows, both for "BIAMP Devio UCX 1000 + Apprimo Touch 10 UCX-T + Parlé VBC 2800". Both give firmware 1.0.0+37.c7caca4d, Android 15 and a certification end date of 15 October 2030; one row is for a "Small Meeting Room (4.5 m x 4.5 m)" and the other for a "Medium size room (4.5 m x 6 m)".

Two things follow for a buyer. First, the certified unit is the three part combination, so a room built from the compute and panel with a different Biamp bar or camera is not the listed system, even if Biamp supports it. Second, Microsoft lists the kit for small and medium rooms, in line with Biamp's own talk of huddle spaces and small to medium rooms. A room much bigger than about 4.5 m by 6 m is a job for the larger hubs in the range, the UCX 2000 and UCX 3000.

Who the Biamp Devio UCX 1000 suits in a London office

The kit makes most sense where a business has standardised on Microsoft Teams and wants many small rooms that behave the same way. Think of a floor of focus rooms in a Shoreditch tech office, a run of client rooms in a City law firm, or the two or three small rooms a growing practice in Hammersmith adds when it takes on more space.

Biamp's own pitch is about scale. Joe Andrulis, its executive vice president of corporate development, says businesses that standardise on Teams want room systems they can roll out widely, and that certification means the bundle is ready for that. The practical gain is that every room repeats the same parts, tuning tool and portal.

Tuning and management. Biamp Launch finds the connected devices, measures the room's acoustics and sets echo cancellation, noise reduction, EQ and loudspeaker levels. Biamp Workplace then handles remote health monitoring, over the air firmware updates and Launch report cards across all of a company's rooms. If you already use Workplace for Biamp kit, our post on the Biamp Lenovo UCC Workplace update shows how the portal has grown this autumn.

Laptops and other platforms. Biamp's product page describes plugging a laptop into the panel by USB-C to switch the room to bring your own meeting mode. Its October latest news page, though, lists BYOM on the Apprimo Touch 10 UCX-T as "coming soon". Until that changes, plan on Teams as the room's native platform and treat other meeting services through a laptop as something to confirm on the day you order.

What to check before you specify it

Before you commit a London floor plate to this kit, these are the points we would want settled:

  • Room size against Microsoft's 4.5 m x 6 m medium room listing, and the seating distance from the screen.
  • Whether the exact three part combination on Microsoft's list is what is being quoted, with the VBC 2800 rather than another bar.
  • Microsoft Teams Rooms licences for each room, and enrolment in Intune if your IT team manages devices that way.
  • A network point for the compute, the single cable run from the compute to the panel (Biamp says the panel needs no extra network points), and a USB-C run from the compute to the bar.
  • Who will run Biamp Launch at handover and who looks after Workplace afterwards.
  • Biamp's three year warranty, which its latest news page states, and who you call when something fails.

If you are replacing older Teams Rooms hardware, it is worth checking where it sits on Microsoft's support timeline too; our Teams Rooms Android audit guide explains how.

How it fits a London meeting room project

1Install designs, supplies and installs meeting rooms, Teams Rooms and video conferencing systems. A kit like this shortens the design work for small rooms, but the room still needs a survey: wall structure for the bar, where the display sits, acoustics on hard glazed walls, cable routes under raised floors and the network ports in the comms cupboard. Our Teams Room installation service in London covers that from survey to handover, and the video conferencing and meeting rooms pages explain how we approach different room types. After installation, our maintenance and support plans keep firmware and rooms in order. For a budget figure across several rooms, the commercial quote builder is the quickest place to start.

Questions we are often asked

Is the Biamp Devio UCX 1000 certified for Microsoft Teams?

Yes, as a bundle. Biamp announced on 7 October 2026 that the Devio UCX 1000 conferencing bundle is Certified for Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft's Teams Rooms on Android list shows the Devio UCX 1000 with the Apprimo Touch 10 UCX-T and the Parlé VBC 2800 as one certified system.

What size of room is the Devio UCX 1000 bundle for?

Microsoft lists it for a small meeting room of 4.5 m x 4.5 m and a medium size room of 4.5 m x 6 m. Biamp describes it as suited to huddle spaces and small to medium conference rooms; bigger rooms point towards the UCX 2000 or UCX 3000.

How long does the Microsoft certification last?

Microsoft gives 15 October 2030 as the current certification end date for the bundle, with Android 15, at the time of writing.

Can I use the Devio UCX 1000 with Zoom or Google Meet?

Not as certified. The 7 October 2026 release and Microsoft's listing cover Teams only, and Biamp lists laptop based BYOM on the Apprimo Touch 10 UCX-T as coming soon, so get the position for any other platform in writing before you order.

Can I swap the VBC 2800 for a different Biamp bar?

Biamp says the UCC-UCX100-T core can be mixed with Parlé ABC, CBC or VBC bars and Vidi 250 or Vidi 280 cameras, but only the VBC 2800 combination is on Microsoft's certified list at the time of writing.

Who looks after the room once it is installed?

Biamp Workplace gives remote monitoring and firmware updates, and Intune manages the device on the Microsoft side. Agree before handover who will look after each.
