Meeting Room Video Bar for London Offices: A Logitech Bar, a Tap and a Samsung Screen

A meeting room video bar from Logitech mounted under the screen, looking out over a white table ringed by white chairs

A meeting room video bar puts the camera, the microphones and the speakers in one slim unit under the screen, which is why it has become the usual choice for small and medium rooms. In this room, set up over two days in February 2023, the bar is a Logitech, the screen is a Samsung on a swing arm, and a Logitech Tap on the table starts every meeting.

What went into the room

  • A Samsung screen on a swing arm, fixed to a timber backing board.
  • A Logitech video bar centred directly under the screen.
  • On the white table, a Logitech Tap for starting calls and a Polycom speakerphone.
  • Blue acoustic panels on the wall around the screen.

Why a swing arm

On the first day we photographed the screen pulled out from the wall on its arm, with a compact black box fixed alongside. Being able to swing the screen forward means the connections behind it can be reached in seconds, rather than lifting a heavy display off a flat bracket every time something needs checking.

Ready on day two

On the second day the screen showed the room's welcome page, with a prompt for people to join the room to their call from their own laptop or phone. White chairs with chrome frames line the table, and the Tap sits ready for the first visitor.

Planning a meeting room video bar in a London office

Match the bar to the size of the room, because the camera's view and the microphones' reach are both designed for a certain size of space. Check which meeting platform your team uses before choosing, set the screen height with the camera in mind, since the bar sits right below it, and put a controller on the table so visitors can start a call without help. Logitech's video collaboration pages list its bars and controllers.

For each part of a room like this, see our pages on video conferencing, meeting rooms, flat panel displays and audio conferencing.
