Logitech Spot Sensor Gains Ten Partner Integrations: What It Means for London Offices

Large display recessed in a panelled wall of an open plan office, with a camera above and a video bar below beside floor to ceiling windows, the sort of space where a Logitech Spot sensor would report occupancy

Logitech has named ten partner platforms that can take occupancy and air quality data from the Logitech Spot room sensor, one of which, Planon, is marked as coming soon. It matters because the readings no longer have to stay inside Logitech's own software: they can appear in the booking, workplace or AV monitoring system your office already runs.

What Logitech announced

Logitech published the list on its Sync hub on 17 August 2026 under the heading 10 New Workplace Partner Integrations for Spot. AV Interactive (avinteractive.com) carried the story on 3 September 2026 under the headline "Logitech launches 10 partner integrations for Spot sensor".

The ten names are Appspace, Extron, Planon, Q-SYS, Robin, Spaceti, Utelogy, VergeSense, Xyte and Zoom. Logitech says the data is opened to them through two routes: the CollabOS API, which talks to the Logitech device in the room, and the Sync Cloud API, which talks to Logitech's cloud management service.

What the Logitech Spot sensor measures

Spot is a small wall mounted box, 50 by 134 by 98 mm and 300 g according to Logitech's product page. It does two jobs.

Presence. A millimetre wave radar detects whether people are in the room. Logitech gives its reach as up to 8 m, with a field of view of 120 degrees horizontally and 100 degrees vertically.

Air. The specification lists carbon dioxide from 400 to 10,000 ppm, temperature, humidity, total volatile organic compounds from 1 to 6,000 micrograms per cubic metre, fine particles (PM2.5 and PM10) from 0 to 1,000 micrograms per cubic metre, and barometric pressure. Logitech also lists air changes per hour among the figures Spot reports.

Logitech states that Spot is certified as a RESET Grade B Air Accredited monitor and is listed in the Works with WELL directory. That is a statement about the monitor, not about the air in any particular room.

The ten partners and what each does with the data

The descriptions below are ours, condensed from what Logitech's hub post says about each partner. We have not tested these integrations ourselves.

Partner What Logitech says the integration does
Appspace Uses live presence data to trigger automatic check-ins and to release unneeded meeting rooms; shows environmental readings on wayfinding maps.
Extron A CollabOS API driver lets Extron control processors read environmental data, device details and meeting status from the room's Logitech device, for monitoring, reporting and room automation.
Planon Will bring occupancy and environmental data into Planon's building management software. Marked "coming soon".
Q-SYS A CollabOS API plugin pulls configuration details, meeting status and environmental readings into Q-SYS for room monitoring.
Robin Combines Spot's live sensor data with autonomous AI agents.
Spaceti Combines Spot readings with floor plans and booking information, and supports predictive analytics.
Utelogy Connects through Logitech Sync Cloud, and offers an MCP server so that AI agents a company has approved can reach the data.
VergeSense Uses the Sync API to map how space is used over time and to forecast peak demand.
Xyte Brings room signals into wider workplace operations, with support for equipment from several makers and automation.
Zoom Pulls occupancy and environmental data from Spot, Rally Board 65 and the Rally Bar family into the Zoom Dashboard, with auto release of unused desks or rooms.

Licensing differs by partner. Logitech's compatibility article says the CollabOS APIs and the Extron and Q-SYS integrations need no Sync licence, while VergeSense, Appspace, Xyte and Spaceti are listed as partner integrations, with the instruction to contact your account team to enable them. Occupancy and room health insights inside Sync itself need the Sync Plus, Essential or Select plan.

Who in a London office benefits

Facilities managers weighing up floor space. Without measurements, the argument about whether a floor has too many meeting rooms or too few rests on impressions. A presence sensor in each room gives a record of when rooms were occupied, which can be set against the booking calendar.

IT managers who own the booking system. Logitech's post talks of releasing unneeded ghost meeting rooms, which we read as rooms that show as booked while standing empty. Its Essential plan includes Auto Release, which frees a room if no occupants are detected or a meeting ends early, and Auto Book, which reserves a room when someone walks in. Logitech describes similar release functions in the Appspace and Zoom integrations.

Whoever answers for ventilation. CO2 and air change figures by room, logged over weeks, give the building manager or landlord something specific to look at when a room is reported as stuffy.

If your meeting rooms already run Extron or Q-SYS control, the appeal is different: the room's environmental readings can be read by the control system that already looks after the rest of the AV.

What to plan before you order

Which rooms. Start with the rooms always booked and the ones people avoid. Check the 8 m radar reach against the room size and decide where on the wall the sensor will see the whole seating area.

How the data leaves the room. Spot has two connections. Bluetooth links it to what Logitech calls select CollabOS devices, and its product page mentions Tap Scheduler and the Rally Bar family, so a room that already has one of those may be able to act as the host. Logitech notes that Bluetooth mode currently needs the host in Appliance Mode. Spaces without a host device can use LoRaWAN, a low power radio network, to reach a Kerlink iFemtocell Wirnet gateway, which then needs its own place on your network.

Power. Spot runs on a D size lithium thionyl chloride cell that Logitech rates at up to four years in optimal conditions, or on USB-C at 5 V and 0.5 A. The USB-C cable is not included.

Fixing. The bracket attaches with adhesive or two screws.

Which platform and which plan. Decide where you want to see the data before buying anything. Logitech lists its four Sync plans (Basic, Sync Plus, Essential and Select) and their prices on its product page. The page shows no price for the sensor itself, so that figure comes with a quotation.

How it fits a London meeting room

1Install designs, supplies and installs meeting rooms, Microsoft Teams Rooms and video conferencing systems for offices across the capital. A sensor like Spot is a small item on the drawing, but it touches three things we plan anyway: the host device in the room, the network it reports over, and the management platform the IT team will look at afterwards.

On a new room we would settle the sensor position, power and host device at design stage, as part of our process, so that nothing is stuck to a wall as an afterthought. On an existing estate the first step is an audit of which rooms have a CollabOS device that can act as a host and which would need a gateway. Our maintenance and support team can then include battery checks in routine visits.

Questions we are often asked

Does Spot use a camera to count people?

Logitech describes the presence sensor as millimetre wave radar with a reach of up to 8 m. Its specification does not list a camera in Spot.

Do we need Logitech equipment in every room?

Not necessarily. Bluetooth needs a select CollabOS device nearby to act as host, but Logitech also offers LoRaWAN to a Kerlink iFemtocell Wirnet gateway for rooms and areas with no host.

Is the Planon integration available yet?

Logitech's hub post of 17 August 2026 marks Planon as coming soon and gives no date. It is the only one of the ten labelled that way in the post, although Logitech's separate compatibility article also shows Utelogy as coming soon.

How long does the battery last?

Logitech rates the D size cell at up to four years in optimal conditions. USB-C power at 5 V is the alternative.

Can Spot release a booked room that nobody uses?

Logitech lists Auto Release in its Sync Essential plan, and describes release functions in the Appspace and Zoom integrations. Which one applies depends on the booking platform you use.
