Cisco Video Conferencing for London Offices: Video Bars, Twin Screens and a Floor Stand

Cisco video conferencing set up on the end wall: a grey Cisco bar beneath the screen, with suspended acoustic panels overhead and a palm beside the curved green wall

Cisco video conferencing has a tidy answer for most rooms: one bar that holds the cameras, the microphones and the speakers, fixed under the screen. In January 2025 we fitted Cisco video bars at two offices, first a boardroom and then, the following week, the meeting rooms of an office fit out, and these photos show how the same idea adapts to different rooms.

The boardroom: screens on a stand

The boardroom's two big screens are carried by a floor stand set against a wall with a printed finish, and the Cisco bar is bolted to the stand beneath them. Everything hangs on the stand rather than the wall, so the finished wall behind needed no new fixings. A conference phone shares the timber table.

Single and twin screens on the wall

In the office fit out, the bar goes on the wall directly under the screen and centred on it: under a single screen in the room with the curved green feature wall, and under the join in a room with two screens side by side. Keeping the lens close to the faces on the screen helps the people on the call feel looked at rather than looked over.

Small rooms need help with echo

In one compact room, slatted timber acoustic panels frame the screen and soften the echo that small, hard rooms suffer from. Below the screen is a slim bar, on the table a Cisco conference phone, and ClickShare lets a guest put a laptop on screen. The screen itself is blurred in our photo, since it was displaying the client's welcome page.

Planning Cisco video conferencing in London

  • Size the bar to the room: Cisco makes bars and kits for small, medium and large spaces.
  • Centre the bar on the screen, above or below it.
  • Put power and network behind the screen before decorating.
  • Treat small rooms acoustically so the microphones hear voices, not reflections.

Cisco's room bars and kits page sets out the range. Our video conferencing, meeting room and huddle room pages explain the options for your own rooms.
